What comes later
Ideas past the first version. None of these is planned yet.
In development. The connector is not live yet. This page describes the plan, and its steps can change before it ships.
Cards in the chat
A connector can send a small view with its answer, and Claude and ChatGPT both show it inside the chat. The standard is called MCP Apps. Ask “how’s today?” and the answer could be your Today ring, not a paragraph.
Skills in the plugin
In Claude and in ChatGPT, a plugin can bundle a connector with skills, which are instructions the assistant follows for one task. A Fit Shapes plugin could hold a weekly review in the same shape as the check-in, and a meal planner that works to the macros you have left.
Log from your saved foods
A search_my_foods tool would find “my usual oatmeal” in your saved foods and log it with its
exact numbers. The assistant would not guess.
Numbers from the food database
A search_foods tool would look up a food in the database the app’s search uses. The assistant
would log the label’s numbers, not its own estimate.
Photos in the chat
Today the assistant estimates a meal photo by itself. Later, the connector could pass the photo to the Fit Shapes scanner, so the chat and the app give the same answer.
Answer the check-in from the chat
“Accept this week’s targets” changes your plan, not one entry. It needs a stronger approval than logging a meal.
Your phone’s own assistant
Siri and Gemini on Android cannot add a connector. Each needs a change in the app itself. On iPhone, the app would give Siri a “log food” action, called an App Intent. On Android, Gemini can call into apps through AppFunctions, which Google limits to an early-access program today. Then you could say “log two eggs” to your phone.
